Parenting Coordination

Parenting Coordination is an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process to assist separating and divorced parents who are unable to resolve day-to-day disagreements about their children. It is considered a form of mediation-arbitration, which means the practice is governed by Ontario's Family Law Act, Arbitration Act, and special Regulation under that Act for family arbitrators.

The goal of Parenting Coordination is to help families resolve disputes in a way that minimizes the conflict and reduces the impact of that conflict on their children. It is intended to help moderate to high-conflict parents improve their communication, learn effective negotiation strategies, and develop skills to reduce conflict.
